First YRO Chapter Charted in Central Oregon

BEND, OR – The Young Republicans of Oregon have a new chapter in Central Oregon. The chapter will represent Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson counties.

The Central Oregon Young Republicans is the first chapter established under the Elliott Administration, and the first chapter to form in four years.

The following officers were elected by a majority of Young Republican members in Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson counties.

  • Chair Jordan Rachael of Redmond

  • Vice Chair Ty Vizenor of Sunriver

  • Secretary Maximillan Rob of Bend

  • Treasurer Ben Schimmoller of Redmond

Newly elected Central Oregon Young Republicans Chair Jordan Rachael stated, “We are all looking forward to helping young people in Central Oregon achieve the American Dream by realizing their full potential in capitalism, free markets and conservative ideals. That’s the way to a truly free society!”

Ty Vizenor, Central Oregon Young Republicans Vice Chair, added, “In Central Oregon, young people are far too familiar with the high cost of living in Oregon. We are launching Central Oregon’s chapter of the Oregon Young Republicans to step upand demand change. We are sick and tired of Oregon’s wasteful spending and increasing taxes. Join us in the fight for a more affordable future.”

YRO State Chair Tanner Elliott stated, “I’m proud that for the first time in four years we have charted a new chapter. The Young Republicans of Oregon is no longer a Unichapter state. I would like to thank Jordan for her work in getting this chapter started and congratulate her as the new Chair of the Central Oregon Young Republicans. Under my administration we will continue to start more chapters and grow the Oregon Young Republicans.”

Chris Gray, YRO State Vice-Chair, added, “The launch of the Central Oregon Young Republicans marks an exciting milestone for our organization. This new chapter will amplify the voices of young conservatives in one of Oregon’s most vibrant and youth-focused regions. I Recruit, Train, Elect commend our dedicated members for their initiative in building this chapter and thank Chairwoman Jordan Rachael for her leadership in guiding its successful formation and growth.”

Gray continued, “This is a proud day for the Young Republicans of Oregon and for the future of our state.”
